NanotechItaly 2013, Venice 27-29 November 2013
The sixth edition of NanotechItaly opened a window onto so-called KETs, the Key Enabling Technologies defined by the Horizon 2020 program. The conference demonstrated how they are essential, along with nanotechnology, to promote competitiveness and innovation in priority areas for the international economy, encouraging the meeting of researchers and academics with the industrial world.
The 3-day “nanotechnology marathon” shows encouraging results for the research:
- 750 delegates from 35 different countries,
- a strong presence of women (40%) and under 35 (35%),
- 114 high-level oral contributions,
- 171 posters,
- 3 parallel sessions,
- 6 workshops.
And furthermore, 10 nanotech start-ups and their elevator pitches, 10 young “science writers” who animated the social media, and an increasing number of companies attending, ready to count on research and innovation. This is possible also thanks to theHorizon 2020 program, main topic of the lecture of Christos Tokamanis opening of the conference.
NanotechItaly 2013 has grown, despite the crisis and difficulties, raising a lot of success: we have gathered here some testimonies of the participants (you can read some of them here below).
We thank every person who has helped us make the difference.
A special thanks goes to our sponsors and exhibitors.
